Ingredients
- 500g fish fillets, cut into pieces
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, chopped
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- A few curry leaves
- 2 tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, and curry leaves. Sauté until the seeds crackle.
- Add chopped onions and green chilies. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
- Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Cook for a minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
- Pour in the coconut milk and bring it to a gentle boil.
- Add the fish pieces and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
- Season with salt and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
