Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu, cut into cubes
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add tofu cubes and fry until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sauté garlic, ginger, and green onions until fragrant.
  4. Add soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
  5. Pour in vegetable broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. Add the fried tofu cubes back to the pan and simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve hot.
