香气四溢上海红烧豆腐 (Fragrant Shanghai Braised Tofu) is a classic dish from the Haipai Cuisine, known for its rich flavors and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu, cut into cubes
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add tofu cubes and fry until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté garlic, ginger, and green onions until fragrant.
- Add soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Pour in vegetable broth and bring to a simmer.
- Add the fried tofu cubes back to the pan and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Adjust seasoning if needed and serve hot.
