Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons Sichuan peppercorns
- 1 tablespoon chili flakes
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a dry skillet, toast the Sichuan peppercorns and chili flakes over medium heat until fragrant. Transfer to a mortar and pestle and grind into a coarse powder.
- In a bowl, mix the ground Sichuan peppercorn and chili mixture with soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and green onions to make the marinade.
- Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and marinate in the prepared mixture for 15 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and cooked through.
- Season with salt to taste and serve hot.
