Fragrant Spicy Pork (Xiāng Là Ròu)
Xiāng Là Ròu, or Fragrant Spicy Pork, is a popular dish in Tianjin Cuisine known for its bold flavors and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 1 lb pork belly, thinly sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 1 tsp ginger, minced
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium heat. Add Sichuan peppercorns and cook until fragrant.
- Add pork slices and stir-fry until browned.
- Add garlic, ginger, and green onions. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Combine soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, and chili flakes. Pour over the pork and stir to coat.
- Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the pork is fully cooked.
- Drizzle with sesame oil and toss to combine.
- Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with additional green onions if desired.
