Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 red chili, sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Sichuan peppercorns
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add garlic, ginger, green onions, and red chili. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add shrimp to the wok and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, sesame oil, Sichuan peppercorns, and chili flakes.
- Pour the sauce over the shrimp and stir to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Season with salt to taste and remove from heat.
- Serve the Fragrant Spicy Shrimp hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
