Frango Com Manteiga De Amendoim (peanut Butter Chicken)

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the onion is soft and translucent.
  3. Stir in the peanut butter, chicken broth, and soy sauce. Return the chicken thighs to the skillet, nestling them into the sauce.
  4. Cover the skillet and let the chicken simmer in the sauce for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  5. Serve the Peanut Butter Chicken hot, garnished with chopped peanuts and fresh cilantro, if desired.
