Ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. In a separate bowl, warm the milk in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Add the warm milk, eggs, butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover and let them rise for an additional 30 minutes.
  6. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the doughnuts, a few at a time, and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
