French Dip Sandwich With Au Jus

Ingredients
- 1 3-pound beef chuck roast
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 French rolls
- 8 slices provolone cheese
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, place the beef roast, onion, and garlic.
- In a bowl, mix together the beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, rosemary, thyme, and black pepper. Pour over the beef in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours, until the beef is tender.
- Remove the beef from the slow cooker and shred using two forks.
- Slice the French rolls in half and place the provolone cheese on one side of each roll.
- Broil the rolls in the oven until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.
- Divide the shredded beef among the rolls and serve with the cooking juices as au jus for dipping.
