Fried Bara (तल्ला बारा)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup black lentils, soaked
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 inch ginger, grated
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Drain the soaked lentils and grind them into a smooth batter.
  2. Transfer the batter to a bowl and add chopped onion, green chilies, grated ginger, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Heat oil in a pan for frying.
  4. Spoon the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove the fried bara from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
