Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Gradually add the warm water and knead the dough until smooth. Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, cumin, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a circle. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each circle and fold the dough over to form a half-moon shape. Press the edges to seal.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the pies until golden brown on both sides, about 5 minutes per side.
- Remove the fried bread pies from the skillet and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
