तल्ला चाकु (Fried Chaku) is a traditional Newari sweet dish made with molasses, ghee, and rice flour. It is a popular treat during festivals and special occasions in Nepal.

Fried Chaku (तल्ला चाकु)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 cup ghee
  • 2 cups rice flour
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add molasses and stir until it melts and combines with ghee.
  3. Add rice flour and water, and mix well to form a smooth dough.
  4. Divide the dough into small portions and shape them into round discs.
  5. Heat ghee in a deep pan and fry the discs until they turn golden brown.
  6. Remove from the pan and let them cool before serving.
