तल्ला चाटामरी (Fried Chatamari) is a traditional Newari dish that is a type of rice crepe topped with delicious toppings. It is a popular snack or appetizer in Newari cuisine.
Ingredients
- 1 cup rice flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup minced meat or vegetables
- 1/4 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup chopped green chilies
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the rice flour and water to make a smooth batter.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and pour a ladleful of the batter to make a thin crepe.
- Sprinkle minced meat or vegetables, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, green chilies, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and salt on the crepe.
- Drizzle some oil around the edges and cook until the bottom is golden brown.
- Flip the chatamari and cook the other side until it's crispy.
- Repeat the process with the remaining batter and toppings.
- Serve hot and enjoy the delicious fried chatamari!
