Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Gradually add the water and knead until the dough is smooth. Cover and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix the feta cheese, cottage cheese, dill, and green onions.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal parts. Roll out each part into a thin circle.
- Place a portion of the cheese filling on one half of each dough circle. Fold the other half over the filling and press the edges to seal.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the pastries until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
