Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- In three separate bowls, place the flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
- Season the chicken thighs with salt and black pepper, then coat each piece in the flour, dip in the egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Fry the chicken in the preheated oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In a separate saucepan, heat some oil and sauté the onion and garlic until softened.
- Add the paprika, cayenne pepper, crushed tomatoes, and sugar. Simmer for 15 minutes, then season with salt to taste.
- Serve the fried chicken with the spicy tomato sauce and enjoy!
