Fried Haku Chhoila (तल्ला हाकु छोयला)
Haku Chhoila is a traditional Newari dish made with marinated and grilled buffalo meat. In this recipe, we will be making a delicious variation called Fried Haku Chhoila.
Ingredients
- 500g buffalo meat, cut into small pieces
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2-3 green chilies, chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the buffalo meat with mustard oil, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat a pan on the stovetop and add the marinated buffalo meat. Cook until the meat is tender and slightly crispy.
- Once the meat is cooked, add chopped green chilies and onion. Stir-fry for a few minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
