Ingredients
- 1 bunch of fresh onion stalks
- 1/2 cup gram flour (besan)
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Wash and dry the onion stalks, then cut them into 2-inch long pieces.
- In a bowl, mix gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Add a little water to make a thick batter.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Dip the onion stalk pieces in the batter, making sure they are well coated.
- Gently drop the coated onion stalks into the hot oil and fry until they turn golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fried onion stalks from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot as a delicious appetizer or side dish.
