Fried Onion Stalks With Shrimp (piajkoli Chingri Bhaja)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup onion stalks, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp with turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  4. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, add the onion stalks and sauté for 5-6 minutes until they are crispy and golden brown.
  6. Add the cooked shrimp back to the pan and toss with the onion stalks for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and serve hot.
