Fried Rice Vermicelli (炒米粉)

Ingredients

  • 200g rice vermicelli
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 100g cabbage, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak the rice vermicelli in hot water for 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
  3. Add the onion, carrot, and cabbage to the wok and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  4. Add the soaked rice vermicelli to the wok, followed by the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the noodles are heated through and well-coated with the sauce.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
