Fried Rice with Smoked Fish (Riz à la Fumée)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of cooked rice
  • 1 cup of smoked fish, flaked
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon of curry powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the diced bell pepper and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Stir in the flaked smoked fish and curry powder, and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked rice to the pan and stir to combine with the other ingredients.
  6. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is heated through.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Remove from heat and serve hot.
