Ingredients
- 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 12 spring roll wrappers
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the cabbage, carrots, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and black pepper.
- Place a spring roll wrapper on a clean surface. Place a spoonful of the vegetable mixture in the center of the wrapper.
- Place a shrimp on top of the vegetable mixture.
- Roll the wrapper over the filling, tucking in the sides, and brush the edge with beaten egg to seal.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the shrimp rolls until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the rolls from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve the shrimp rolls hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
