Ingredients

  • 2 large yams, peeled and thinly sliced
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully add the yam slices to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
  3. Fry the yam slices for 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
  4. Remove the chips from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  5. Sprinkle with salt to taste and serve hot.
