Ingredients

- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the dried fruits and nuts. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just incorporated. Fold in the dried fruit and nut mixture.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
