Ingredients
- 500g pork intestines, cleaned and cut into pieces
- 3 slices of ginger
- 2 scallions, cut into sections
- 1 star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- Blanch the pork intestines in boiling water for 5 minutes, then rinse and drain.
- Heat some oil in a pot, add ginger, scallions, star anise, and cinnamon stick. Stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add the pork intestines and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Pour in soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, salt, and water. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 2 hours until the pork intestines are tender.
- Remove the lid, turn up the heat, and reduce the sauce until thickened.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
