Ingredients

  • 1 (32 oz) package frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups cornflakes cereal
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the frozen hash browns, 1/2 cup melted butter, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, chopped onion, and cheddar cheese.
  3. Spoon the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, toss the cornflakes with 1/4 cup melted butter, and sprinkle the mixture over the top of the casserole.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
