Ingredients

  • 500g potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat vegetable oil and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and green chilies. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Then, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
  3. Add mashed potatoes, green peas, and salt. Mix thoroughly and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Finally, add butter and fresh coriander leaves. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Garnish with more coriander leaves and serve hot.
