Ga Roti
Ga roti is a delicious and flavorful dish that originates from the Indian subcontinent. It is a popular street food and is enjoyed by people of all ages.
Ingredients
- 500g potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 cup green peas
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped
Instructions
- In a pan, heat vegetable oil and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and green chilies. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Then, add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
- Add mashed potatoes, green peas, and salt. Mix thoroughly and cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Finally, add butter and fresh coriander leaves. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with more coriander leaves and serve hot.
