Ingredients

  • 500g mutton, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3-4 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons mustard oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat mustard oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. Sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the mutton pieces and cook until they are browned.
  4. Stir in the turmeric, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
  5. Pour in enough water to cover the mutton. Cover and cook on low heat until the mutton is tender.
  6. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
