Ingredients

  • 500g beef, cut into cubes
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 green chilies, slit
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 3-4 cups water
  • 1 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat mustard oil in a pot and add the sliced onion. Sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add the beef cubes and cook until they are browned on all sides.
  3. Stir in the chopped tomatoes, grated ginger, green chilies, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
  4. Pour in the water and bring the soup to a boil. Then, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 1 hour or until the beef is tender.
  5. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
