Ingredients

  • 500g fresh fish (tuna or other firm white fish), cut into chunks
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 green chilies, sliced
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, thinly sliced
  • 4 cups water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
  2. Add the onions, tomatoes, green chilies, curry leaves, and ginger to the boiling water.
  3. Simmer for 15 minutes until the vegetables are soft.
  4. Add the fish chunks to the pot and simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes until the fish is cooked through.
  5. Season with salt to taste.
  6. Serve the Garudhiya Riha hot with steamed rice or roshi.
