Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 24 whole blanched almonds for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the almond extract.
- Gently fold in the flour until a soft dough forms.
- Shape the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Press a whole blanched almond into the center of each cookie.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
