Ingredients

  • 1 package of phyllo dough
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the feta cheese, cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese, eggs, and sour cream. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Brush a baking dish with melted butter.
  4. Layer 5 sheets of phyllo dough in the bottom of the baking dish, brushing each sheet with melted butter.
  5. Spread a layer of the cheese mixture over the phyllo dough.
  6. Continue layering the phyllo dough and cheese mixture, ending with a layer of phyllo dough on top.
  7. Brush the top layer with melted butter.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until the gibanica is golden brown and crispy.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
