Ingredients
- 12 oz gigli pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the gigli pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes and stir to combine. Let the sauce simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the cooked gigli pasta to the skillet with the tomato sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.
- Stir in the chopped basil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and serve the gigli pasta hot, garnished with additional basil if desired.
