Ingredients

  • 4 sheets of dried seaweed (gim)
  • 3 cups cooked short-grain white rice
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 strips of pickled radish (danmuji)
  • 4 strips of cooked spinach
  • 4 strips of pickled yellow radish (eomuk)
  • 4 strips of cooked carrots
  • 4 strips of imitation crab sticks
  • 4 strips of egg omelette

Instructions

  1. Place a sheet of dried seaweed on a bamboo sushi mat.
  2. Spread a thin layer of seasoned rice over the seaweed, leaving a small border at the top edge.
  3. Arrange the fillings in a line across the center of the rice.
  4. Roll the gimbap tightly using the bamboo mat, sealing the edge with a bit of water.
  5. Cut the rolled gimbap into bite-sized pieces and serve with soy sauce for dipping.
