Ingredients
- 1 kg live crabs, cleaned and cut into pieces
- 2 cups coconut milk
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 thumbs ginger, sliced
- 2-3 pieces red chili peppers
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the cooking oil over medium heat.
- Saute the garlic, onion, and ginger until fragrant.
- Add the crabs to the pot and cook for 5 minutes.
- Pour in the coconut milk and bring to a simmer.
- Add the red chili peppers and fish sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cover the pot and let the crabs simmer in the coconut milk sauce for 20-25 minutes, or until the crabs are fully cooked.
- Once the crabs are cooked, transfer to a serving dish and pour the coconut milk sauce over the crabs.
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
