Ginger-Lime Tofu Stir-Fry (Sauté de tofu au gingembre et au citron vert)

Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu, drained and cubed
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, lime juice, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  2. Heat some oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the cubed tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add a little more oil if needed. Sauté the ginger and garlic until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced bell peppers and snap peas to the skillet. Stir-fry for a few minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Return the tofu to the skillet and pour the soy sauce mixture over the tofu and vegetables. Toss to coat everything evenly and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the sautéed tofu over cooked rice.
