Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons fresh ginger, julienned
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice wine or dry sherry
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
- Add the ginger and garlic, and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
- Add the green onions, soy sauce, rice wine, sugar, sesame oil, white pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the shrimp are cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot.
