Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) potato gnocchi
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
  • 4 oz (115g) Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp (30g) butter
  • 2 tbsp (15g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup (25g) breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp (30g) chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the gnocchi according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to make a roux.
  4. Gradually whisk in the heavy cream until smooth and thickened.
  5. Add the Gorgonzola, Parmesan, garlic, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is well combined.
  6. Remove the sauce from the heat and gently fold in the cooked gnocchi.
  7. Transfer the gnocchi and sauce to a greased baking dish.
  8. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the top and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
