Gizdodo Pizza Surprise
Gizdodo Pizza Surprise is a delightful fusion of Nigerian Gizdodo and Italian pizza, creating a unique and flavorful dish that will surely impress your family and friends.
Ingredients
- 1 pound of boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into small pieces
- 2 ripe plantains, cut into small cubes
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 cup of tomato sauce
- 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of thyme
- 1 teaspoon of curry powder
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pre-made pizza dough
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the diced plantains and fry until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
- Using the same skillet, sauté the diced onions and bell peppers until they are soft.
- Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet, then pour in the tomato sauce and season with paprika, thyme, curry powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a baking sheet and spread the chicken and vegetable mixture evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, slice, and serve hot.
