Ingredients

  • 1 kg fresh fruit (such as figs, cherries, or citrus)
  • 500g granulated sugar
  • Water

Instructions

  1. Wash and prepare the fruit, removing any stems or pits.
  2. In a large pot, combine the fruit, sugar, and enough water to cover the fruit.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour, or until the fruit is soft and the syrup has thickened.
  4. Remove from heat and let the Glyko Glee cool to room temperature.
  5. Transfer the Glyko Glee to sterilized jars and seal tightly.
  6. Store in a cool, dark place for at least 2 weeks before serving to allow the flavors to develop.
