Ingredients
- 1 kg fresh fruit (such as figs, cherries, or citrus)
- 500g granulated sugar
- Water
Instructions
- Wash and prepare the fruit, removing any stems or pits.
- In a large pot, combine the fruit, sugar, and enough water to cover the fruit.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour, or until the fruit is soft and the syrup has thickened.
- Remove from heat and let the Glyko Glee cool to room temperature.
- Transfer the Glyko Glee to sterilized jars and seal tightly.
- Store in a cool, dark place for at least 2 weeks before serving to allow the flavors to develop.
