Ingredients

  • 250ml water
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 800g canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the semolina flour, water, and a pinch of salt to form a dough.
  2. Divide the dough into small pieces and roll each piece into a thin rope.
  3. Cut the ropes into small gnocchi pieces.
