Ingredients
- 2 pounds potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, flour, egg, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
- On a floured surface, roll the dough into long ropes, about 1 inch thick.
- Cut the ropes into 1-inch pieces and use a fork to make indentations on each piece.
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the gnocchi in batches for about 2 minutes or until they float to the surface.
- Remove the gnocchi with a slotted spoon and transfer to a serving dish.
