Goan Beef Samosas

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 large potatoes, boiled and diced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 12 samosa pastry sheets
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a pan, heat 2 tbsp of vegetable oil and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and sauté for a minute.
- Add the ground beef and cook until it is browned.
- Stir in the coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the diced potatoes and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
- Take a samosa pastry sheet and fold it into a cone shape. Fill the cone with the beef filling and seal the edges using a flour-water paste.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the samosas until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the samosas from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve the Goan Beef Samosas hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
