Goan Fish Cutlets

Ingredients
- 500g boneless fish, cooked and flaked
- 2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked and flaked fish, mashed potatoes, chopped onion, green chilies, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, fresh coriander leaves, and salt. Mix well to form a uniform mixture.
- Take a small portion of the mixture and shape it into a flat cutlet. Repeat with the remaining mixture to make all the cutlets.
- Dip each cutlet in beaten egg, then coat with bread crumbs, ensuring an even coating.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the cutlets in batches until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Serve the Goan Fish Cutlets hot with ketchup or chutney.
