Goan Prawn Stuffed Papad

Ingredients

  • 10-12 medium-sized prawns, cleaned and deveined
  • 4-6 papads
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the prawns with red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, lemon juice, and salt. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the marinated prawns until they are cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Take a papad and lightly roast it over an open flame until it puffs up. Repeat with the remaining papads.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cooked prawns on one half of the papad. Fold the other half over the prawns to form a semi-circle. Repeat with the remaining papads and prawns.
  5. Heat a little oil in a pan and shallow fry the stuffed papads until they are crispy and golden brown on both sides.
  6. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  7. Serve the Goan Prawn Stuffed Papad hot with your favorite chutney or dip.
