Goan Style Prawn Balchão Burger

Ingredients

  • 500g prawns, cleaned and deveined
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions, garlic, and ginger until golden brown.
  2. Add the tomatoes, green chilies, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, sugar, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  3. Pour in the vinegar and cook for a few minutes.
  4. Add the prawns and cook until they are done.
  5. Toast the burger buns and assemble the prawn balchão mixture inside the buns.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
