Ingredients

  • 1 medium cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
  2. Add the sliced onion and sauté until it turns golden brown.
  3. Stir in the ginger and garlic paste, then add the chopped tomatoes. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the oil separates.
  4. Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add the cauliflower florets and stir to coat them with the spice mixture.
  6. Cover the pan and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cauliflower is tender but still has a bite to it.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.
