Gobi Desert Stir-Fry (Говь айраг хуушуур)

Ingredients

  • 500g beef, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 carrots, julienned
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat.
  2. Add the beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Heat the remaining tablespoon of oil in the same skillet. Add the onion, carrots, and bell pepper. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  4. Add the minced garlic and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, black pepper, and water. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the ingredients.
  6. Season with salt to taste and remove from heat.
  7. Serve the Gobi Desert Stir-Fry hot and enjoy!
