Golden Bozo with Wheat (Бозо с пшеницей)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups wheat
  • 1 cup millet
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • 10 cups water

Instructions

  1. Rinse the wheat and millet thoroughly.
  2. In a large pot, combine the rinsed wheat, millet, and water.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  4. After 2 hours, add the sugar and continue to simmer for another hour.
  5. Remove the pot from the heat and let the bozo cool to room temperature.
  6. Strain the bozo through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the wheat and millet solids.
  7. Pour the strained bozo into a clean container and refrigerate until chilled.
  8. Serve the bozo cold and enjoy!
