Golden Kazy (Казы)
Казы (Golden Kazy) is a traditional Kyrgyz dish made with horse meat and is often served during special occasions and celebrations.
Ingredients
- 500g horse meat, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the horse meat, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and cumin until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into small sausage-like pieces and thread onto skewers.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the skewers for about 10 minutes on each side, or until the meat is golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
