Ingredients
- 2 large dried sea cucumbers, rehydrated
- 8 pieces canned abalone
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 3 slices ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 4 tablespoons water
Instructions
- Prepare the sea cucumbers by cutting them into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large pot, combine the chicken broth, oyster sauce, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. Bring to a simmer.
- Add the sea cucumbers and abalone to the pot. Cover and simmer for 1.5 hours, or until the sea cucumbers are tender.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Slowly pour the slurry into the pot while stirring to thicken the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
