Gong Bao Ji Ding (kung Pao Chicken Delight)
Gong Bao Ji Ding, also known as Kung Pao Chicken, is a popular dish in Singaporean Chinese cuisine. It features tender chicken, crunchy peanuts, and a flavorful sauce with a hint of spice.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into small cubes
- 1/2 cup unsalted peanuts
- 3-4 dried red chilies, deseeded and cut into small pieces
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, minced
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken with soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and cornstarch for 10 minutes.
- Heat the cooking oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
- Add the dried red chilies, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add the marinated chicken and stir-fry until cooked through.
- Add the peanuts and continue to stir-fry until everything is well combined.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
